Senior Level Traffic and Transportation Engineer

TMS Engineers is seeking highly motivated and passionate Traffic Engineer to join our growing consultancy. The responsibilities of the individual would be to lead technical studies and analyses related to traffic engineering, transportation planning and transportation operations for adaptive signal systems. Specific assignments may include quantitative and qualitative analysis of demands and capacities of area roadways, intersections, and corridors. Other efforts may include studies of development impacts, safety evaluations, corridor analysis and traffic modeling.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university;
Registered Professional Engineer with four to eight years experience
Experience in Microsoft Suite (365) including Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint & Access, AutoCAD, Microstation, HCS, Synchro

ABILITY TO

Research, analyze and evaluate programs, policies and procedures;
Communicate and collaborate clearly and concisely (both written and oral) with clients that include; municipal organizations, municipal leadership teams, City Councils, municipal staff, residents, developers, civil engineering firm staffs and other stakeholders;
Manage and lead multi-disciplinary teams of internal staff to meet the needs of the clients, community and project implementation;
Work in a standard office setting with extensive use of written documents, computers, and the telephone;
Attend community and professional meetings both as a participant and a meeting leader;
Manage multiple priorities and time effectively;
Plan and deliver effective oral and written presentations;
Work independently, as well as part of a team.
